Hotels & Inns

Haunted hotels and inns include active and historic lodging establishments where guests and staff have reported apparitions, unexplained sounds, object movement, and recurring paranormal phenomena.

Introduction

Hotels exist in a state of constant turnover.

People arrive carrying entire lives with them—grief, celebration, illness, secrets—and then leave, often without ever returning. The room remains. The building remains. Only the occupant changes.

This impermanence creates a peculiar kind of historical layering. Thousands of lives briefly intersect with the same walls, the same hallways, the same thresholds between waking and sleep.

Many haunted hotel reports center on repetition. The same figure seen in the same room. The same footsteps heard in the same corridor long after midnight. Guests encountering someone who appears to belong to another time entirely.

These places were never meant to hold memory.

And yet, some of them do.
